KIRBY AIR RIDE NETPLAY SETUP GUIDE

This guide is meant to serve as a reference for getting your NetPlay session set up. This guide holds little relevance to solo sessions. If you run into any issues, your best resource would first be our troubleshooting page, and then the Discord after that.

​Please ensure you are using Ethernet (Wired connection) when playing NetPlay with others. By playing with Wireless connection, you are putting every other player at the mercy of your (potentially unstable) connection.

GAMECUBE CONTROLLER ADAPTER Recommended

It is best practice to use a GCN controller to PC adapter. Other controllers may also be used to varying experience.

No other controller adapters are recommended.

STEP 1

​1. Select Tools

2. Start NetPlay

1. Select the host tab

2. Set connection type
• Traversal

3. Broadcast your game
• Show in server browser
• Fill out region, name, and set a password
​
4. Begin hosting, click Host

1. Select Data tab, and disable all features.

2. Share code, or tell others how to find you in the Server Browser.

3. Notice mapping is GC1, enable your "P1 Fullscreen code".

​4. Modify buffer as necessary post-start.

1. If your host has properly configured ​a hosting session, you should be able to find it easily.

2. If you are having trouble finding it, refer to the blue box filtering sessions by the game ID. Those can be KHPE01 or GKYE01.ini

STEP 3

1. Notice the mapping section.

2. Enable your Fullscreen Gecko code that corresponds to your mapping.
ex: GC3 is Fullscreen P3.

2. Enable your fullscreen code

3. Ensure default codes are enabled

Vertical Divider
Packager automatically enables the default codes for you, except for the Fullscreen ones.

You do not need to reference the default codes if you have performed Packager instructions.
